THE LIVERPOOL ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY"SIC ITUR AD ASTRA"(Thus The Way To The Stars.)The Society's aims are the same as when it was formed in 1881i.e. "To promote the science of Astronomy primarily in Liverpooland the neigbourhood there of"Registered as a Charitable Educational Trust - No 519955.

We are upholding our aims through events like our Sidewalk Astronomy andStar Parties, our Observatory is open to the public every Wednesday from 7.00pm -9.30pm (except Christmas and New year). We have strong Astrophotography andAmateur Telescope Making sections within the Society and regular observingsessions.
