THE LIVERPOOL ASTRONOMICAL SOCIETY"SIC ITUR AD ASTRA"(Thus The Way To The Stars.)The Society's aims are the same as when it was formed in 1881i.e. "To promote the science of Astronomy primarily in Liverpooland the neigbourhood thereof"Registered as a Charitable Educational Trust - No 519955.
JUPITER: by Rob Johnson 2009 We are upholding our aims through events like our Sidewalk Astronomyand Star Parties, our Observatory is open to the public everyWednesday from 7.00pm - 9.30pm (except Christmas and New year).We have strong Astrophotography and Amateur Telescope Makingsections within the Society and regular observing sessions.
