The Society's aims are the same as when it was formed in 1881
 i.e. "To promote the science of Astronomy primarily in Liverpool
and the neigbourhood there of"
Registered as a Charitable Educational Trust - No 519955.

We are upholding our aims through events like our Sidewalk Astronomy and  
Star Parties, our Observatory is open to the public every Wednesday from 7.00pm -
9.30pm (except Christmas and New year). We have strong Astrophotography and
Amateur Telescope Making sections within the Society and regular observing
sessions.
