A report from Steve Southern;

Hello all,
We actually had a really good evening in the city centre on Saturday. I arrived about 7:30pm, still full daylight,
set up my little refractor and had some immediate responses from people walking past.

Lots of good interest throughout the evening. We were probably helped by an "Night in the Museum event" being held in the Museum as we caught those leaving mid-evening. We left at 10pm. Dave & Geoff brought a 12" dobs whilst Tom had his binoculars on a mount.
Overall I think Dave Owen counted well over 60 members of the public observing the Moon, Venus and Saturn through 2 telescopes and a pair of binoculars

We had 1 little hiccup when some traffic wardens decided we couldn't park right outside the museum steps so we had to move our cars during the evening.

I took some photo's, if you follow this link, hopefully you can see them:

With thanks to Geof Regan, Dave Owen and Steve Southern.
