ISS 10th June 2007
Report by Rob Johnson.
Hope everyone managed to see the ISS and STS117 last night if you were able.
On the second pass of the ISS after midnight I took a real 'shot in the dark' following something Dave (G) said to me about visually seeing the shape of the ISS whilst someone was 'tracking' the 16" 'scope(?) up at the Leighton Obs.
So I thought why not bung the webcam on the 14" and set it recording whilst I tried to catch the ISS in the finder as close to the cross hairs as possible.
Well it worked of sorts - most of the images were long trails of blur as the ISS whipped acros the view but these were a few less blurry from 1681 frames!! I think the only one that might be close to the truth is the last image. The images go from top left at the start of the pass the the bottom right towards the end of the pass.
