I think I picked the wrong time of year/weather to get an interest in astronomy!

I only seem to have seen clouds for the past 3 weeks.

Regards

welcome to astronomy in the UK,  Sad I have learnt a lot more about clouds since taking up astronomy. Roll on crisp clear frosty winter evenings

ha ha tell me about it.  I bought my first telescope 2 or 3 weeks ago and haven't been able to use it once!  Angry

Hopefully the skies will clear up by August because I was going to take my telescope with me when I go camping in the lakes.  There shouldn't be much light pollution up there (I hope)

Its probably gonna continue into september aswell! Long range forecasts on the met office website predict a wetter summer than the average last ten years, slightly cooler aswell.

Oh well, at least its good for the gardens. Thing is, cos everythings shooting up so much, my horizon is gonna end up higher in the winter!
