I have not used that particular make/model but it all makes sense generally. Could you take a look at this review and tell me if it is what you have?

It may be worth bringing  it to the observatory on Wednesday night and having it checked and then perhaps put an advert on

Don't let any one buy it off you for next to nothing as there will always be someone who will give you buttons for it!

Hi David thankyou very much for all your help i followed the link you sent, and yes it looks like the same scope, the one i have is yellow, tube only, and without what looks like a hood.

i would like to take you up on the offer of bringing the scope down to your club to have it checked out.

many thanks again david

Okay Paul, I will be up there around 20:30. If you arrive earlier then me then just ask for the Director, Geof Regan, and he will look at it for you or he will get someone who knows about these things. to check it out.

Hi Paul, I have just be informed that I am at an award presentation for my son this coming Wednesday and will not be able to get up to the observatory. You will made welcome by the group if you still wish to go there. They are a friendly down to earth gang and will be able to answer all your questions about life, the universe and everything.  Grin
With regards to your telescope, there is a review on page 75 in the June issue of Astronomy Now (available at all good news shops)  which gives it a good report. The price, >£I000, I believe, is with a mount (stand). The eyepiece that you mentioned is priced in the region of £50.
These prices are for brand new and in perfect condition.
See http://www.greenwich-observatory.co.uk/acatalog/2__Eyepieces.html
for an example.
