Hello everyone

As a recently retired Mechanical Engineer I now find I have the time for all those important things in my life!.

Spending quality time with my Wife, riding my beloved Italian Motorcycle and pursuing my life long passion for all things Astronomical..... and hopfully gaining that Degree in Astrophysics I have always wanted.

Please advise as to the next meeting of LAS, and we will come and say hello in person.

Best Regards

David

Hallo David, congratulations on your retirement and I hope that you are enjoying it. Smiley
I must apologise for the delay in replying to your e-mail but my computer hard drive decided to fail on me just prior to Christmas. I decided to purchase a brand new lap top in the end and I am now back up and running. I am now trawling through a backlog of correspodence and apologising a lot.
With regards to our next meeting, I am pleased to inform you that it will be on Friday January 19th 2007 at the Metropolitan  Cathedral in the Gibberd Room. Signs should be placed withen the underground (secure) car park. One of our own members,Mr David Thomson, will be talking on the subject 'TTL - Telescope -Design,Installation & maintenance'. This should be a very interesting subject as Mr Thomson works at the observatories and is able to show many fascinating aspects that are unseen by the public and other astronomers.
Full details can be found at:
http://www.liverpoolas.org/content/view/10/18/
with maps of how to find us at:
http://www.liverpoolas.org/content/view/17/
I suggest that you should arrive for 19:00 as the meeting will start around 19:15. The meeting is free of charge.
I look forward to meeting you and hope that you will consider joining the society if it suits your purposes.
Regards from David Galvin.
