Hi all,
Ive just found out that my birthday eyepieces have arrived!! I'm looking forward to coming home and trying them out at pex hill!! I've ended up with a skywatcher aero ED 35 mm 2 inch, an extra flat 27mm 1.25mm, a 6mm, 9mm and hopefully 20mm (only one I'm waiting for) ultra wide angle 1.25mm eyepieces. I've also gone for an OIII filter so lets hope the skies are clear for getting off this rig!!
I've also nearly finished my dew shield so thank you for the donation of the roll mat Brendan!

Hope all are well and see you soon Wink

Happy birthday (to come) Austin, nice prezzie.
Is the OIII for visual use, I have never observed with one of these so I would be interested if you bring it to Pex Hill, :-)

And poor Brendan has had to sleep on a hard floor since he gave up his rolled up mat :-(

I've done a little reading up on the filters, and apparently you can use them for visual observations as long as you keep the exit pupil as large as possible. well, just had some good news, I will be home on monday which is a week early because im changing crews!! and I was so looking forward to doing a three weeker......... so I will be about on wednesday night all going well, so see you all there!!
