Hi,

I am hoping to visit you in Cronton one wednsday night soon ...

Can you tell me if you are there every wednesday night ?

I am a 3rd science undergraduate with the Open University. I have completed some modular assignments on near Earth objects. However, I will be working on another OU course SXG 390 - this involves writing a 5000 word project on cause, effect, and mitigation of NEOS.

Do you have the ability to see any of these objects ?

I note that you have a forthcoming presentation on meteorite impacts - would I be able to join the society in order to attend these evets ?

I have a life long interest in manned spaceflight, its a pity  I have never thought of joining you before really. I didnt realise how close you are to my home address ...

I am keen on astronomy in general and may I ask if your telescope is ever used to take images of the Moon ??
I would like advice with a view to buying a scope.

I have met most of the Apollo astronauts including Armstrong, Aldrin, Duke , Bean, Haise, Scott, Mitchell, Worden, and many other astronauts and cosmonauts past and present.

May I ask if you still have allow children to become members also ?

Thanks

Andrew Carson

Hi Andrew, to see NEO's is difficult but they do turn up occasionally on our supernova search images, we were actually thinking of tasking one of our s/n telescopes for NEO's and may do in the future. You can come along any Wednesday to our observatory and you would be welcome to come along to the talk in Impacts from space, many of our members image the Moon and through the observatory telelscope, if you look on ourhttp://lasimages.wikispaces.com/LUNAR website there are some done by one of our junior members which I think answers your final question.
look forward to seeing you at Pex Hill
Brendan
