Hi i live in Warrington and been into star gazing on and off for a year now and looking to take it to the next level, got my first serious scope late last year (Celestron 130) and still getting my head round it, spotted m31 last night for the first time with binoculars just need 30 mins of clear skies and i,ll have it with the telescope (buzzing).

is there any other members out there from Warrington, i feel like i,m the only one. i,m looking forward to attend my first star party so i can meet other astronomers. Everything i see out there blows my mind but need someone to talk who knows what i,m experiencing.

hope to chat to someone soon.   Grin

Thanks a lot for replying Brendan, I,d love to come down and check out  your observatory never been to one before only Jodrell on a tour, just a bit worried i'll be out of my depth, i,m no graduate everything i know i've learnt my self but very keen to listen and learn.

Q. is there set opening times? Q. do you have many people turning up? and this maybe a stupid question, is it shut if there is a lot of cloud cover?.

a good night for star gazing and dreaming Grin

Hi

I am from Warrington and have been going to Pex Hill for the last year and attending the monthly meetings and have found it most interesting and the members to be friendly and helpful.
I look forward to meeting you. Smiley
