Hi Malcolm,
I'm from snowy Skelmersdale too and I've been in the LAS for about 13 - 14 yrs now. Great bunch of people. We do have sidewalk events in Ormskirk and at the Beacon park too. Like Brendan says there is a sidewalk event at Ainsdale next month. Also Pex Hill is not too far away.Come along any Wednesday especially if the skies are clear. Wink Thing is being an astronomer means you have to be prepared to travel to better skies with less light pollution and clearer weather.
