I left Liverpool in 1978 and have been a member at Lincoln Astronomical Society since then. Last month the lecture was on the subject of the Telescopes of William Herschel and the speaker handed out a catalogue of his telescopes and their current location. Does anyone remember Mr Sanderson who was in his eighties when I was last a member? I did hear that he died shortly afterwards. I know that he was the proud owner of a small Herschel telescope (about 5 feet long) and wondered if anyone knows what happened to it after he died.

Regards to Dave Owens, the only survivor form 1978 to my knowledge!

Ha Ha there a few of us still hovering around Graham. Myself, Rob Johnson, Eric Strach, Eric Jones to name a few. Occasionally see Alan Scott and Bob Halliday.
