I too am a newbie and would like some advice about buying a telescope. I already use binoculars 8x40 which I prefer
to use. I have a spotterscope, but have discovered I cant hold it steady enough and have to rely on the small stand, which then requires a balancing act of some precision, of which I seem incapable!! of tables, boxs etc. It's good to look at the moon though.
I will be away until beginning of July. Do you still meet up at Pex Hill during summer? Would love to come and look at the scopes you have.
