Hi there, my first telescope was the Seben 6", I found it to be a fairly good telescope although collimation was critical with it being catadioptric. It was a good telescope for the Moon and planets but not brilliant on deep sky objects due to its long focul length. The mount is not brilliant it could be sturdier, but for the money they are a good starter scope.
cheers

Hi Mark, I always recommend people call up to our observatory at Pex Hill and have a chat before buying a telescope. This way we can talk and see where your interests lie and we can show you different types of scope and find what suits you best. We are open every Wednesday to the public from 7-0-clock in the evening.
